| Eagertrieve Labradors is a family hobby kennel located 50 minutes southeast of Edmonton, Alberta Canada. We live in the beautiful Gwynne valley, our entire property is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and trees. We border the Pipestone creek that runs out of Coal Lake, so we have easy access to take the dogs swimming without having to leave the property! We show and breed Labradors of the English type with focus on health, beauty and preserving the true Labrador temperament. We breed dogs that not only excel in the conformation ring, but also in the field, obedience, serve as Guide Dogs, and are devoted pets. I got my first labrador in 1997, and blossomed from there! I have enjoyed showing labradors in the specialty ring, and have been very fortunate to have had some very nice ones! To name a few: BIS MBISS Ch.Chablais Sudden Impact "Will" MBOSS Ch.Eagertrieves Odyssey, and our chocolate girl MBISS Ch.Eagertrieves Meant To Do That "Macy" All 3 of these dogs have been a very important part of who we are! In fact, all these dogs are my "logo" Our litters are all thought out and planned and health being our number 1 priority. All of our breeding stock or clear for hips and elbows, eyes are CERF'd annually, we do Optigen(PRA) testing and EIC. These tests are our tools to make sure our puppies are free of the genetic conditions associated with our breed. We also have a full written health guarantee and lifelong support for our puppy owners. Our litters are raised with our 2 children and are socialized very well! We have many return puppy buyers and are very happy to have these relationships and to be able to provide families with very well bred healthy labradors. We do only breed the 3 recognized colors of labradors which are Black, Yellow and chocolate. We do not support the fact that some breeders are producing "other colors" (silver, charcoal)as it is being unfaithful on CKC registration paperwork, nor do we agree with the whole Labradoodle thing!
